Question:

I have a Chevy 194 Inline 6 , is the timing set at 4 BTDC or 8 BTDC, 0 is TDC so 2 or 4 lines below it?

0 being TDC is it set below the 0 or below the A(Above TDC) on the timing tab???And each line is 2 degrees correct??

  1. A would be After TDC. Apperently there are no numbers on the timing scale?? cause usually there are. like 0,2.4.6 or 0,5.10, 15 etc. Sometimes there are long and short lines. BTDC would have the larger scale side of 0. I hope this helps u.  


  2. What is the make model and year?

    here is the info for a 1962 Chevy II.  8BTDC or 4 lines for this one. 2* per mark. The "A" is for advance, 4 marks from "0" toward "A"  would be 8*.
