Question:

I have a Cleveland CG11 wedge that is starting to rust on the face. Is this normal? Will there be a problem?

Its only rusting on the face...no where else.

  1. it is made to rust . the thing to watch for is the groves the tend to wear faster with a rusty wedge . diet cola will take rust off . just cover club head let it sit clean up perfectly


  2. Try to play at the range with it and see if after 15 balls  with a full swing if it doesn't just wipe off. Otherwise, you may try a wire groove brush. It shouldn't give a noticable affect on playablility though.

  3. a lot of the wedges are made from different materials and they are supposed to rust the rust actually gives you more spin when the ball rolls up the face i have an oil can finish wedge which is really rusty but it really spins the ball

  4. The CG11 Satin Wedge is chrome plated and shouldn't rust. The CG11 Black Pearl Wedge however has a Black Pearl finish over the Carbon Metal Matrix used to manufacture the club head and may allow some rusting. It won't detract from the performance of the club though.

  5. no problems my Cg2 irons same thing on the low irons

  6. It's normal dog....the pro's like it this way, cuts down on the glare....
