  1. Trying to sell the point of them coming from Pompey will be hard enough. Without proof it will be a hard sell, for ancient coins just left in certain types of soil have the same look. Ancient coins in the condition you state have little value. For all anyone knows they could have been dropped in a camp fire or were in a building that burned down. No banks in those days so lots of coins were buried. Sorry I didn't have better news for you.

  2. Well I don't trust sites telling me how much things are worth unless it's something like Yu-Gi-Oh cards or something (which I don't play anymore), so I highly recommend going to your local library and asking for some coin books, usually located in the reference section and just search for your coins and what they're worth in the most updated book they have.

That's what I did and apperently the gold coin I bought from my sister that she found for $20 might be worth $10,000 to $25,000! =-)

  3. Here is the problem since your not providing a picture nobody has any idea what you have or what condition it is in? I suggest that that you take it to a coin dealer and have them appraise the coin. Whatever you do don't sell it to the first person that gives you a price get more that one appraisal.
