It doesn't look hand painted but more like a decal or something.

  1. Hand painting the state quarters is done by several companies as well as gold plating them. You can also find the bicentennial coins painted as well as silver American Eagles. The coins are considered damaged by the coin collecting community. I however saw a set (coins available up to now) in a nice oak frame, it was very impressive and would be a nice thing for a family to pass down. Who knows in 100 years it may gain a good value, but for now they sell for around $6 to $10 each. Hope this helps.

  2. That sounds fake. It may be a real quarter and all but, someone probably painted it or something. Interesting, look it up.

  3. Hang on to it because you just may get alot of money for it.
