I have a DVD recorder but I need help recording off TV?!?

I know how to do everything, kinda, but u hafta set the dvd recorder to a channel and that kinda screws me up... idk, if u know how just tell me what to do.

  1. *you go to channel three or whatever u have it set on

    *then you pop in ur cd recorder

    *then you use the dvd recorder and change the channel on the recorder and then u click record

    * so basicly u change the channle (USING DVDPlayer) and click record =)

If you have a cable/sattelite box, you should be able to run some cables(red,white)(and yellow or S-Video) from it, through the DVD recorder, then out to the tv.  That way you can change the channels with the cabe box.  Just set the recorder to the input in which you put the cables.  If you only have co-axial(worst quality), put it on channel 3 or 4.

    If no cable box, and just the co-axial cable:

    Connect co-axial cable to "co-axial input" on recorder

    Using remote, set recorder to that input.

    On remote, use the "channel up/down" button or number pad for changing channels.
