As said in the question space. I have a stone that is dark green, and oddly shaped. It has thin lines of a much lighter green on it.

I don't know what kind of stone it is, and don't even know where to start looking.

Could anyone tell me?

  1. Even a practiced gemologist might have difficulty saying accurately what any given stone might be at a glance.  Glance is the operative word here.  Seeing the stone would make a world of difference for identification.  Here are some links that might help.

  2. Moss Agate is the closest thing i could find to your description, hope i helped!

  3. There are varieties of green slate, olivine, and malachite that fit that description. (along with others)
