I have a Dell Studio 1536 with an AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core processor, Windows Vista Home Premium and have been trying to hook up a Brother all in one model MFC 240C. Drivers and software install OK but cannot print. Printer status is error and documents are being continually sent to the print que. They are briefly named 'Local Downlevel Document', this goes away and the only thing listed is user and error status. No port is listed. These documents are sent 2 at a time at about 2 minute intervals. I can cancel these and briefly get printer status to ready, but still can't print any of my documents even before any of these LDD show up again. Microsoft has tried to help to no avail, so has Brother but so far no luck. Any suggestions?
