I have a Digital Labs portable dvd player, it won't spin. Anybody know a repair shop in the Detroit area?

I put a disk in and it first said NO DISC, but now i get nothing. Any ideas? I did buy a cleaning disc but it was no help.

If it's not spinning then the motors probably gone. Repair shops would be too costly given the low prices of these units. Kohls has the 8" one on sale for $120 and it will cost you at least $75 to get it looked at. You may want to purchase a name brand (like Panasonic) next time.
