my fm transmitter is Belkin iPod TuneBase II FM Transmitter (F8Z176TT) and my amp is Alpine 1000watts with 2 alpine type-R subs. WHEN EVER I PLAY MUSIC THROUGH MY FM-TRANSMITTER AND MY SUB/AMP power IS ON, THE SOUND QUALITY DROPPS....sounds like a bad AM radio channel....BUT WHEN I TURN OFF MY SUB/AMP POWER EVERY THING IS PERFECT. i DON'T KONW HOW TO AVOID THE INTERFERENCE BETWEEN MY AMP AND MY FM TRANSMITTER TO LISTEN TO MY MUSIC.

  1. Unfortunately, one problem with "Class D" mono amps is that they can interfere with FM radio.  There's really no fix for this problem except switching to a different amp, or use a different method for integrating your iPod.  If you have an after-market head unit, there may be an auxiliary input adapter you can use with your iPod.  If you have a factory radio, you still may be able to find an adapter to integrate an iPod or auxiliary source, or you can switch to a hardwired-type FM modulator like this one:  http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl....

  2. hey buddy hows it going the problem you are describing almost sounds like it could be power interference from the main power cable to the amp one of the first things that i would do is check if the cable for your ipod or the transmitter are close to the main power lead for the amp cause if it is that could very well be your problem try moving the transmitter and or cables away and see what it does

    hope this helps
