I have a Frigidaire dishwasher Model #that GLD2445RF alw ays leaves grit on the dishes. The heating element in the bottom of the unit is grey with a powdery substance flaking off of it. Does it need to be replaced? Can a novice do this, or is it time to spend the $50 for a service call?I've had it 13 months.
