I have a GE Model 25951 Cordless Phone and all it says is "Please Register" and I can't use the phone?

what should I do? The directions say "place phone in cradle and wait for phone to register" that's all. I've done that and it still does not work. what should I do?

First, make sure the cordless phone battery has been fully charged for 16 hours, according to manufacturer instructions.

Then, try to reset both the base unit and cordless phone.

Un-plug power from base unit for a few seconds first, then plug power plug back into it.

Then, remove power pack from cordless phone, wait a few seconds, then replace power pack (battery) into cordless unit.  

Now, place cordless unit into base and see if it now Registers...

make sure that the "extension" phone matches the base-phone....otherwise you can not use it!!

I know that you can mix-n-match the Uniden, but I don't know about your main base-phone!!
