Used it earlier today and it worked fine! Then cooking some supper and had the oven preheated and started to cook and noticed after a 1/2 hour that it wasn't heating anymore! The stove top still works and there's plenty of gas! Any idea's on how to fix? Thanks!

  1. Your problem is most likely a broken or cracked glo igniter for the bake portion of the oven.  The igniter glows as it allows electricity to flow thru it to the gas safety valve so it will open and the gas will light when it hits the glowing ceramic element.  If the element gets cracked or completely broken, the correct amount of electricity doesn't get to the valve and it never opens.   Depending on the range, it will cost approx.  $40- $60 for the igniter, plus whatever your service tech charges for a housecall.

  3. There is a good chance that your burner and or pilot assembley might need cleaning. If that doesnt work look into thermocouples or flame sensors
