Well I have made a ton bad choices in my life and so far this is the worst. I dropped out of high school 3 years ago and its too late to get a diploma. I had a severe case of deep depression and I want to clean up my life and have a good future. I plan on going to college and giving it everything I got (I already know I messed up big time and already regret it so I just want a little heads up to see what I'm headed for).

  1. Heck no. Forget where you came from. Let go of all the negative thinking.

You have a GED. Go to college. Even with a GED and good communication skills--you can land a good paying job...now in a down market--that's a little difficult. And lots of people define "good paying" differently.

I got my diploma and did a year and a half in college. I dropped out when I got pregnant with my eldest daughter--I'm 22 now.

I have been working at a job that started me off at 27k a year--yes 27k--No college degree. I took some computer classes and some communication classes as a base of my electrical engineering degree--but never finished. All that mattered was that I communicated well.

I have been working for 2 years for this company and I already make 32,400. Talk about being lucky--no wait persistent. No matter what--I decided that there was no way on God's green earth that I would ever go back. and guess what--this job pays me money for continuing my education. So I think you're definitely on your way--and please--DON'T QUIT.

  2. Listen, it's never too late. People make mistakes in life.  I think it's great the you wanna turn your life around and make something of it.  I have seen tons of people become successful with GEDS (of course with college as well).  Just bc you made a few bad choices in life doesn't mean you re dumb or incapable of turning it around.  Good luck and stay motivated and focused!

  3. Tons of people go to college with a GED.  Once you get some college credits, nobody asks where or how you graduated high school.  They may ask for it on a job application, but the employers really don't care, if you have earned a college degree, even just a two-year one.

  4. I have a GED and I went on to college. I am successful.
