I have a GPS (navagon) I got it for Christmas and I finally got a dash board weight thing to put it on

Question

I would like to take it with me more just to have since there is a lot of construction around and if I have to go on a detour I like to know where I am, I get lost VERY easy. I don't carry a purse with me because I just don't like carrying one.

I was wondering if I would be able to keep it in the arm rest of my car in it's carrying case. would it get damaged from the heat?

any information would greatly be appreciated.

as long as you keep it out of direct sunlight all the time it wont hurt it,keeping it in the arm rest would be ok as long as it doesn't set and bake all the time,the sun will eventually damage them,i keep mine in the console when im not using it and so far it hasnt caused any problems,good luck.

it is best if you take it out of the vehicle at least until it gets cooler.  the heat could destroy the led.
