Hi I have a GSP and a 1 year old cat- and am planning to get a kitten this week. My GSP chases my cat around as of now- and the cat swats at her or sometimes even chases her around. Now, I am planning to get a kitten- but I am very scared especially of GSP I don't know if she is capable of killing it- because she does try to play bite my older cat. What should I do?

  2. your dog needs to learn some manners you should not accept this behavior EVER!

teach the dog "LEAVE IT" if you do not know how to do this I suggest attending proper dog obedience classes.  Because if it ever chases somebody elses cat - or dog.. you can be in for a lawsuit

here is a link about introducing cats

there are some excellent points you need to note.

  3. you have to yell at him and say NO really loud and kinda whip him on the but don'tt kick that will cause him to keep doing it!and then if he does it again put him in a room and shut the door and say stay and leave him in there for a couple of hours and open the door and just let him go.then if he still dont stop you have to whip him harder each day and then after day3 with  still smacking him you will just have to get the belt and just start whiping him (tip)...if you have a empty trash can this sounds mean but we  do it it helps so much here goes put him in the trash can and take a bat and hit the trash can only!it will not hurt him it teaches him.(tip)......take a coke bottle only! and put rocks in it and when he is around your cat shake it and scare him a  way
