Please don't be rude. I had surgery on Wednesday to have 8 teeth removed (For braces) They gave me anesthetic and put me under. Well i started my period yesterday and it has been really weird. Usually on the second day is it heavy. It is not heavy at all. Could it be because i had surgery? I will be 17 in September. I have had my periods for 6 years now. And also i was taking 200MLG. for the pain. Could this cause my cycle to be weird this time?

  1. absolutely.

  2. I definetly think that its the medication that your taking, or your body was under stress due to the surgery you had causing  you to have a weird period.

This happened to me when i had the gardasil vaccine.

my periods were late and were really really light and they lasted for 10 days!!!, when my periods really only last for 6 days, and are quiet heavy.

I wouldnt really worry about it, but if your next period is also a little weird, then i would go to the doctors to be sure nothing else is causing this problem.

    take care x*x

  3. If you've had surgery then the meds could have affected your cycle though probably not much.

More likely its stress from having the operation that's caused your body to change your period. It could also just be a light period - I sometimes have really light ones out of nowhere. At the end of the day your period is there, so its nothing to worry about. It could be, for example that it'll be heavier tomorrow or something, so it's just an 'odd' period for you. Everyone's bodies change, especially when there are outside influences such as teeth surgery affecting you. Don't worry!

  4. Any time something such as having the teeth removed can cause stress and cause your cycle to be off. I wouldn't worry.

  5. It is probably the meds that are causing it to be messed up. I wouldn't worry too much but check w/your doctor if you are worried. It doesn't take much to mess up a period.
