I have a HDTV and HD antenna, however no reception to HD channels. In 09 will I get the digital signal?

I have a HD TV and HD antenna, however where my house is located behind a hill I do not get any digital channels 2-1, 7-2 etc. I do get the analog channels 2,7,9 etc. After the switch over in 2009 will I get the digital signals? Will 2, 7, 9 not work anymore?

Are the broadcasters in your area already broadcasting the digital signals?  If so and you can't get them now you probably won't get them in 2009 either.  Have you visited the site antennaweb.org?  They can provide much more information about signal reception if you give them your location.

with a hill between you and the broadcasters it does sound like you may not get reception.   I am curious to know what type of antenna and in which direction antennaweb recommended.
