I have a HI_8 small tape for my video recorder?

I want to put it on a VHS tape not the converter. How do I do that. I tried to turn on the camcorder and connect it straight to VCR and press record on the VCR but is not recording anything. I need to get my HI-8 to a regular VHS.. please help

You might like to tell us exactly how you are connecting your camcorder to your VCR - might help us identify the problem.

Also you make no mention of selecting the correct input on your VCR - depending on what VCR you have you may have to select 'L1' or 'AV' or 'AV1'  difficult to say without knowing what VCR you have and how you are connecting things together.

If you have a TV connected to your VCR can you see your video on it ??
