  1. In terms of money: yes.  But let me tell you, if you join the military for financial purposes alone, you are in line for a lot of misery.  I think the fact that you ask this question is evidence enough that you know this isn't a good decision.  

    However, I only say this from reading one sentence you wrote.  Maybe you've been thinking about the marines for a while, I don't know.  Just don't sign years of your life away purely for money.  If you enlist, you are making a huge dedication (lives are at stake).

  2. Joining the military for paying your student loan debt is not the only reason for serving our country. You should consider the number of years you will have to enlist for and the biggest challenge is the transition from civilian to military life. There are also other services to think about, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army and of course the U.S. Marine Corps... You did not mention if you completed your college degree. Because you can opt to join as an Officer instead. Good luck!
