I have a HUGE moth problem!!?

ok so for the past week it has been crazy hot in new york and i have so many moths coming into my house its insane! i kill like 10 a day and i have no wood in my house and everything is pretty clean

how do i get rid of them and stop them from coming in? its driving my cats insane!

I heard they hate lavender.  You could make a sachet and put them in your drawers, and have lots of lavender plants around.

Try getting light bulbs that are yellow looking that helps keep bugs away. Also try putting moth balls outside around the area where they come from. A bug zapper is alos good put wont eliminate all of them. Just make sure you have a screen on you door and if not turn the light off 10 minutes before you go out. And if if leave the light on to come on just make a run for it and shut the door fast behind you. :)

I am having the SAME EXACT FREAKIN problem in California...it sucks, but I guess it's 'moth season!' Ugh!

close the door maybe?

close the window maybe?

make sure there are screens?

are you hoping we'll visualize your house and guess?

i wonder, if you have a couple bright lights, outside, away from the door,  and also have no lights near the door, either inside or outside, maybe it would help.

other than that, i just can't guess what would be a good place to start.

Moths are also attracted to light.  You might want a bug zapper or a light away from your door to attract the moths while you get in.
