Question:

I have a Hisense 32 inch LCD TV about 3 years old...

The display unit has been damaged beyond repair. I'm told by a TV repair shop that its not worth replacing unless a display unit could be picked up cheap. It may be difficult to even get a replacemrnt display unit here in Ireland.
Is this correct? Do i just write it off ?
