I have a JVC camcorder and need to know how to convert the files from MOI to mpg. Thanks!?

I have a JVC Everio that I love. But it saves all the files as MOI, which only works with the included software. I would like to convert them to mpg so it is a bit more user-friendly. All the reviews just say "convert them to mpg and it's fine", but no one says HOW to convert them. I even tried youconvertit.com, but I could only send that type of file, not convert it. Any help would be great. Thanks!

The .moi files contain date / timestamp information - the video is held in the .mod files.  You should already have Power Director -

Import the .MOD files.

Add them to the timeline

Click “Produce”

Select "Save to File"

Select .MPG and select the directory to put the files in.
