I have a Jacuzzi tub, and the jets randomly turn on?

Alright so yeah, it does it every once in a while.. and what happens is the jets will randomly turn on all by them selves, only if we're nearby though, hasn't happened when we're upstairs or something. scares the c**p outta us..

Is there a reason as to why they would be doing that?

Check if you have a timer on it that might be switching it on. We have dedicated circuit breaker inside and switch it off most of the time.

Most have a timer circuit that circulates the water through the filter and keeps it hot.  You should be able to adjust the times it comes on.

Sounds like a faulty switch.  

Some tubs have a water sensor that will not let the tub run dry, but it sounds like yours does not.

I installed one today and heard that it does it to keep the water fresh or something. They are actually designed to do it
