  1. i bet there is a bad cable / or connection (start fresh) rite from the beginning

  2. Picture quality on Time Warner's HD channels should look amazing on a 720p LG set. Standard definition pictures aren't going to look much better than old-fashion TV, so test on HD channels.

First, make sure your TW box is set for 720p or 1080i. (It's in the menu)

Be sure you've used the correct connections. You should be connecting your TW box to your TV with:

    (best to worst)

    1. HDMI

    2. DVI and digital audio (DVI to HDMI converters are available for picture information)

    3. Component Video and digital audio

    4. Component Video and analog audio

If you are using one of these schemes already, and your picture is bad, contact Time Warner and/or LG. Something beyond your control is wrong.

  3. Here's what you should do:

    1) Unplug everything from your TV. Including the HD cable box.

    2) Move the TV into your garage.

    3) Buy a Pioneer Plasma Elite Series and MSeries HDMI cable

    4) Hook everything back up to your new TV.

    5) Sit back and enjoy!

  4. 720p sounds like something from about 3 years ago. It may surprise you but the technology has changed and a new set will probably be your best improvement. Also LG never made a TV that had a "top quality" picture.
