I have a MBA and have been teaching for 4 years, how can I get my certificate in special education?

It depends on the state you live in and you will have to take some Special Education classes too and pass some tests too.

You need to go through a credential program at a university in order to become a "highly qualified" teacher. I say that only if you aren't teaching in an elementary through high school setting. If you are, then you need to do the coursework for special education for the credential. You'l also need to do student teaching of some sort too in the credential area you are working towards.  If you haven't taken any exams, you 'll need to do that as well to satisfy state and federal requirements.
