Question:

I have a Mac I want to increase memory or back up files to clean it out. ?

How do I do this? It's a older model like back from 05' processor 733 MHz power pc G4 384 MB SD ram so if anyone has advice please give it to me. I am seeing that it may be running out of memory I have loads of music and pictures that I dont want to loose. Please help!

  1. The memory you are talking about is RAM. That has nothing to do with you running out of space. That is caused by the hard drive running out of space.

    Here are some options:

    What i think you should do is buy an external hard drive.You just plug in the external hard drive into a usb port, then transfer all of your files easily.

    The other option is to back up all of your files and buy a new internal hard drive. You might have to open the computer and install it yourself, but you'll have a lot more space.

    If your computer has a CD drive that is able to write cd's, then you could just burn your mp3's or other files onto cd's. That will free up disk space.

    If your computer doesn't have a cd writer, then your going to have to buy a hard drive or a flash drive, something to put your files in.
