I have a Maxtor One-Touch III 750GB External Drive that has worked well for over a year. This past weekend the icon disappeared from my desktop and I can't get it back. I'm running a MaxOS X 10.5.5 OS and have tried everything that the Maxtor Suport Center has for OnLine help, to no avail. I'm using a Firewire connection and also tried a regular USB connection; neither one will see the drive. I've tested the USB ports and they work ok. There is a small light on the left front of the drive, it blinks at a steady rate on the left side only. I'm sure that means something, but sure what. I've checked the power supply to the drive and its ok. I've tried the Maxtor One-Touch Manager software, but it does see the drive. I do have Windows XP on the Mac if there's a better chance to fix the drive under Windows than Mac. HELP!!!!
