I have a Mazda mx3 v6 94 year. i have a problem with misfiring. i have put a new distributor and spark plugs

and leads, I have checked the leads and they are in the right position, but it is still misfiring. Could you tell me what is causing that?

  1. Trying to fix things can work out more expensive than going to any garage with a diagnostic computer thats the best thing to do just avoid fancy & expensive showrooms


  2. Could be faulty coil/s, not uncommon in Mazdas, but first get computer fault codes checked by reliable garage with necessary equipment, or failing that, main agent.

  3. Sounds very much like the timing is out.

    I assume that on a 94 model the timing belt has been replaced. It sounds like it needs to be adjusted.

    If it hasn't been changed according to the service schedule it could be worn and slipping. If that is the case it needs replaced urgently because if it snaps it will be a very expensive repair

  4. well plugs wire and rotor button and cap sorry after that could be a bad cam lobe

  5. get the timing checked by a mechanic.also could be the gap in distributor
