i connected it to my computer using a usb cable. is there a way to put an mp3 file onto my phone and use it as a ringtone?

yes there is! all u need is a memory chip which goes in your phone to keep all your files...1gb is about $30 2gb is about $40-$50..id get the 2 gb because it holds about 600 songs and pics and videos...1gb is only half that.
