I have a Nikon Coolpix L3 camera and my computer won't recognize it so I can transfer my pictures!

Question

Up until recently my computer would recognize my camera and I could choose the destination to transfer my pictures from my camera but now it will not! I downloaded the Nikon PictureProject 1.6 program that came with my camera but even that doesn't recognize it! Maybe I don't have my camera set at the right settings for transferring pictures to my computer!? Would certainly appreciate some input! Thanx!!

Look in your menu for USB and make sure it's on PTP.

Hook up your camera, then turn it on.  See if that works.

If not, then open your computer icon, and check for new drives.  Then open it and copy your pictures over to your computer.

Or, just buy a card reader.  It will save your camera's batteries.
