Question:

I have a PC with an integrated graphics card taking up one of my PCI-E slots. Can it be removed?

I thought it couldn't seeing as its integrated. Also, if it can be removed, is it more likely to take up a PCI-E*1 or a PCI-E*16 slot?

  2. I think you are mixing a few things up.

    First of all, intergrated graphics can use a PCI-E bus. That doesn't  mean it's using the PCI-E slot.

    Also, PCI-E x16 is different from PCI-E x1.

    the x16 is for graphics and the x1 is for add in cards, like sata controllers, newer sound cards, tv tuners, etc.  

  3. If it's integrated then it isn't taking up a PCI-e slot. Don't remove it unless you are putting another video card in that slot.
