I have a PS3 60GB and an LCD 37" TV, however i dont have HD channels yet, can i use an HDMI cable on my PS3?

will i be able to use an HDMI cable despite not having any HD channels and see the picture in HD? If so, what resolution do i set it too? Thanks in advance!!!

your tv should be able to have different settings like tv, avi 1 2 and 3 then component 1 and component 2 lastly should be HDMI. so if you hit input to get to HDMI it will work even without HD channels

you have the hdmi channel on the tv, as long as its HD. you can use that regardless, whether or not you have hd, or if you dont even have tv channels at all, just the tv. i would recommend you get hdmi cables from monoprice. they are VERY cheap, and amazing quality. dont get tricked into buying a 50-100 dollar hdmi cable, its just as good as the 3 dollar one on there. heres a link. scroll down till you see the colored ones, and the ones near them, they are the cheapest.

Yes, you can. Use 1080p (highest resolution) if your TV supports this.

Playing PS3 games in HD has absolutely nothing to do with the ability to receive HD television channels. You can play PS3 games on a HDTV even if you live in the middle of a desert and can receive no TV channels at all.
