My friend just gave me her old phone as she just bought the I Phone. Her phone was the verizon version and I really want to stick to cingular, I hear about people unlocking there phones but this phone does not have a sim card. If anyone can help or point me in the right direction I would greatly apreciate it.

Thank you.

  1. Sorry, but I don't think you can switch that phone over.  You could try contacting AT&T(Cingular) and see if they can help you.  Tough phone companies don't tend to want you to bring other phones over.  They want to sell you a phone to lock you into their service with a new contract.

You might try telling them you have this phone and you don't want to leave, but you are considering it because you like the phone.  Sometimes companies will work harder if they think you plan on leaving.  they might try to get the phone working, or give you a really good deal on a new phone with similar options.
