I have a Panasonic digital DVD recorder but it plays back recordings too dark to watch comfortably.?

Also bought DVD's are dark. Could the fault be with the recorder or is the connection to the (old) TV at fault. Tried 2 different scart leads.

  1. Can you correct the picture by turning up the brightness on the television? If so then you should be able to live with it.

    If turning up the brightness makes other programmes unwatchable the return the DVD Player to the shop and demonstrate the problem. They must repair or replace it if it is faulty.


  2. Have you tried taking off the lens cap?
