I have a Pentax Optio33LF

Question

I have a Pentax Optio33LF digital camera,I have seen a home made 35mm slide copier wich is essentially a tube which fits on to the boss on the face of the camera ( at the lens mount ) at the outer end of this tube a slide viewer is mounted.The slide is placed into the viewer, the camera is pointed at the sky then a shot is taken.Is this a good thing to do with the camera?Regards,Jim Edger
