I have a Sandisk Sansa e250, and am having a problem with it?

If I plug my MP3 player in while it is in MSC mode, the device will appear in "My Computer" but when I plug it in while it is in MTP mode, nothing will appear in "My Computer" and I need to access my MicroSD card.

Not even the player itself will appear.

What do you think is wrong?

It did this once before, but somehow the problem was solved, and it worked fine. Now it's doing it again.

Windows XP.

  1. Make sure you have the latest service pack for XP (that includes the proper drivers for the E250)

    Make sure the firmware in the E250 is up-to-date.  Download the latest firmware from the Sandisk website and a firmware loader, then load the latest firmware onto the E250.
