I have a Sansa m230

I have a Sansa m230 sandisk. When you turn in on it says initializing and gets stuck in this position. I have replaced batteries and it doesnt work. You can listen to the songs already downloaded on it because it is in a stuck position and the screen is blank? Any suggestions?
