i have a sidekick slide with the plan that has internet, unlimited text & nights/weekends. I want to get a blackberry curve.

Can I just put my sim card into the new phone & keep my same plan?

Or do I have to switch to a blackberry plan???

And if so, is the blackberry plan the same as a sidekick?

Does it cost more?

  1. yes, you can do that,

but a sidekick plan does not work for the blackberry.

so you'll have to switch to the blackberry plan,

which is about 30 dollars a month i believe

  2. You can use your same SIM, and your voice plan should stay the same... but you will need to change your data plan.

I am assuming that you are on T-mobile based on the sidekick.  I am not sure what you are charged for your sidekick plan for unlimited internet but the blackberry service with unlimited mail (10 accounts) and internet is $19.99/mo on top of your voice calling plan.  Unlimited txt messages are $14.99.

    Best of luck.

  3. You can switch your sim card to a Blackberry. I am guessing you are probably using AT&T or T-Mobile?

You will have to switch to a Blackberry plan because they are specifically designed for that phone. I have a BB Curve with Verizon and it costs me $29.99 a month for Unlimited web and email push.

I think it is roughly the same for AT&T and a little bit less through T-Mobile. I don't know how much you are paying but believe me, even if it is a few dollars more a month, you will be happy with a Curve!

That phone does sooooo much more than a Sidekick!
