I have a Sony Alpha and want to buy a Ring Flash for it. Does anyone know what is the best one?

I have tried the HVL-RLAM, but this is a ring light rather than a flash (it is constantly on), and it does not cast enough light - I am looking to take intra oral pictures, so need a good amount of light.

I think there is a Minolta Macro Ring Flash 1200 which is compatible, but it is discontinued, and difficult to get hold of.

  1. The Minolta Maxxum Macro Ringflash 1200AF should be what you need. However, you may need an adapter, the FS-1100.

There is a Yahoo Tech Group dedicated to Konica-Minolta/Sony DSLR cameras. konica_minolta_dslr

You should find information about the compatibilty of K-M DSLR accessories with your Sony DSLR.
