I've got this camera right here:

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Sony-NSC-GC1-Net-Sharing-Camcorder-NSC-GC1/sem/rpsm/oid/188481/catOid/-13063/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do

& whenever i plug it into my computer, i can upload pictures but it never seems to like to upload my videos.

It gives me the options to just straight upload the video's to youtube & stuff, which i've been using, but i want to be able to edit the video's & stuff, so i'd like to figure out some other way, to get the video's on my computer where i can upload them.

Anyone else who has the camera, help me?(;

Thanks.

  1. Your digicam captures MPEG-4 video & 5mpixel still images directly unto a Sony Memory Stick /Memory Stick PRO™ Duo media for easy transfer to PCs for uploading, emailing or printing.

    Remove mem.stick pro duo from digicam & insert to memory card reader; this would appear as a removable drive X... if not:

    On Windows destop screen bottom left: click Start >> then click My Computer => windows explorer opens

    On the right portion => Hard Disk Drives, etc.; then >> Devices w/ Removable Storage - mem card- w/some ID- brand?

    Double click on it, locate your video/picture files and copy/ paste => my Documents/my videos (my pictures) located above Hard Disk Drives.

    Open your video editing application and import the mp4 files if supported, if not convert (try Super or Kates))

  2. It will, you need to use the supplied software from the CD that came with it.

  3. You may need to use the cd that came with camera to get the drivers, you can also get these drivers on-line at Sony.com. Any video editing software will do. I use nero 7, if you have u-torrent you can find software @ http://www.mininova.org/ and download it free, just to try it, if you find software you like it is best to buy it from somewhere rather than using the free stuff. There are dozens, i would recomend nero for its ease of use, user friendly. Always connect camera to PC/ laptop via USB, you should have been supplied with this with the camera. Hope this helps you.
