  1. It depends on the camera. SInce you did not provide a model number, it is impossible to help you. Some cameras just replace the batteries - others come with a charger and you take the rechargeable battery out and stick in the charger... and others recharge the battery when you plug an AC adapter into the wall and connect to the camera and you don't have to take the battery out.

    Look up your camera model at Sony. Or read the manual. Or look in the box the camera came in and see if there is a charger orAC adapter in there.
