Will imagemixer 3 for mac provide the answer?

  1. What do you mean "on pc format"?

    Your iMac is a personal computer as much as any other personal computer.

    If the video format is .avi or .wmv, go to apple.com, click on the "downloads" area, search for "Flip4Mac"... download and install.

    If the video is in some sort of odd MPEG2 video format, go to apple.com, click on the "downloads" area, search for "StreamClip"... download and install. Import the MPEG2 video and export as .mov.

    If the video is in Windows MovieMaker format, then you need to get a Windows machine, open those files in MovieMaker and Save As a .avi... then the Flip4Mac plug-in you just installed will let QuickTime play it.

    You can try the ImageMixer 3 for Mac (I had no idea there was such a thing), but I don't think any of the software the camcorder manufacturers provide is worth taking up hard drive space on any computer...
