  1. If you have an analog (VHS) camcorder…

    You need an analog converter, either internal card or external such as the dazzle. It's very easy to use and come with good software. You would hook your analog VHS camera or VCR to the analog converter, the dazzle and then hook the dazzle to your PC. The dazzle cost around 70.00 , but worth the money if you have a lot of VHS to tapes to convert.


  2. i have a sony handycam that uses hi8 tapes too and i got it back in 2004, the one that i have it came with a cd-rom that u can install to ur computer and it'll set up a program just for ur camcorder, mine came with a/v cables and a usb cable (i can use it as a web cam if i wanted to) and the program should let you upload ur video/s to ur computer and save it then use ur dvd burner to make a dvd hope that works
