  1. First you have to look at the back of your Sub and if their aren't any RCA input jacks than you have a Passive Sub, being that you have done that what you have to do next is some wiring,,First you have to match channel for channel.   For instance wire your left sub terminal to your left terminal in the back of your Receiver, and then do the same for the right terminal.   Then wire the speakers [left/right to the back of the Sub (which should read Speaker in  or Speakers) Either way it is for the speakers, make sure that the channels match.   Now this will allow the passive radiator or speaker to receive a low frequency from the receiver but the octave will be sort of limited due to the fact that it is not being used by discrete power [your Sub speaking of].   But your fronts should be fine and you will still get good so follow those directions closely and everything should go well for you..  Oh! by the way the reason you have so many terminals is because the red is for positive and the black is for the negative [this is your speaker wire I am speaking of.}

  2. You run the main outs L+R from the Sony and run your L+R speakers from the outs on the Sub.

    You will need to configure you amp to the following:

    Fronts = large

    Sub = none.

    If your sub or amp have impedance matching switches make sure they are correctly configured. Also just because a sub uses line level signal does not mean it is "passive" In most cases this connection acts as bandpass network sending base to the sub driver and high freqs to the speakers!

    Make sure you settings will allow full range base to the front. If you have further questions submit you model to me and I can give you specific guidance, you also need to submit the model numbers for your speakers as the set up can vary on some.
