I have a Talktalk modem

I have a Talktalk modem which is working perfectly. I want reinstall a NetgearDG834Gv3 which worked before I took it off and put Talktalk on.I now want the netgear so I can use my new laptop with the internet. However when I try to install it I Get,"there are problems with the DNS."
