  1. Don't go bandpass.Go ported , actually vented.Vented creates less air turbulence then ported.

  2. i would go with a bandpass box but in an suv or hatch back it doesnt matter because your speakers have all that air space ther not in a trunk wit a little space. i had a $1000 system in my car and a friend had a garbage system ant it hit wayy harder then mine because he had an explore.

  3. with that type of vehicle, a ported box will give you the best bass.

make it a little bigger than the specs of the subwoofers, 0.3-0.6 cubic feet bigger... and have the subwoofers facing up *to the sky* and the port of the box facing to the back *to the rear of the vehicle*.

in regards to the port tuning, i would recommend you going with 32 Hz if you want to be loud and still have good sound quality.  if you just want to be loud and dont care much for sound quality, then go with 33~38 Hz for the tuning. this will gain you a few db's too.

  4. sealed is the best, i have the same truck and year, and i run 3 12's and your amp is important also,i run rockford fosgate amp and 12's baby, yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,im a INSTALLER also .i beat so hard you can hear me coming behind you on the innerstate.doing 70 while it's storming,
