  1. zone Alarm Security center comes with everything you'd need including firewall , As long as everything is updated you'll never have to worry about getting hacked or viruses or such..

  2. If your computer is infected by trojan, spyware/ adwares/ malwares, you can easily get rid of spywares and adwares by using any free spyware or adware killer tool, you can download the ones  which are free.Free programs to download are Spybot S&D, SuperAntiSpyware, Ad-Aware 2007 and AVG. Check out http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-sAFtLsc8e... for more details.

  3. Download and scan with the the following free software in order one by one, delete what ever they find should leave your PC free of infections:

    Malwarebytes: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

    SuperAntispyware: http://www.download.com/SUPERAntiSpyware...

    SmitfraudFix: http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFix.e...

    Avast Anti-Virus: http://www.download.com/Avast-Home-Editi...

Once you have removed the infections keep Avast and download Comodo Pro firewall, then switch to Firefox 3 if you are browsing with IE. (links on my profile)

  4. download sypbot search and destroy and run that http://cid-47f44a45c1c7c119.skydrive.liv...

also try avast or avg virus protection if you are still having problems.

  5. The trojan is named:  Downloader.MisleadApp

Here is the Symantec instructions for manual removal from your computer and registry.

    http://www.symantec.com/security_respons...

They suggest that you run Norton Anti-virus

but Avast will do in this case.

After you "kill" the trojan you should then be able to do a system restore, if any of your files became corrupted.

I want you to download these two tools.

You may need to use a flash drive on another machine to download them, and then transfer them to your machine via the flash drive.

Get these two solutions that actually are RELIABLE !!!

    AVAST and AD-AWARE.

These tools do an EXCELLENT job, and the "home' versions are FREE to the public.

(The business versions you should purchase)

    A.

    Avast free Home Edition

    Get it here:

    http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.ht...

And please do a "thorough" scan as soon as you get it downloaded. The user interface is simple. Click the left side, and in the top menu that comes up, select thorough scan.

When it finds a culprit it throws up an alarm, then you DELETE the culprit, (do not quarantine).

Then allow it to run all of the time, and you will be completely protected. It will "automatically" update itself, also for free.

You only need to renew your registration once a year, also free.

Note: I KNOW of several people who have used AVG and Norton and have gotten a virus anyway.

Don't go with Zone Alarm as it is hoggy and conflicting.

I've tried them all, and have had wonderful results with DEPENDABLE AVAST for the last 5 years.

The corporation I work for uses the Pro version, and has never has an incident. Avast is your answer.

    B.

Get free Ad-AWARE spy-removal tool from Lavasoft

    http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad-a...

    1. Download, install and run this program weekly or more.

Then you can be really confident that you are protected at all times.
