  1. Not all airplanes have power in the seats, and not all seats on a plane will have them either. You can check www.seatguru.com to find out whether your flight and seat has them.

    That said, you will need a specific type of adapter for the port no matter what country you are flying into or out of. They have some at amazon.com that fit a standard US plug (which is the same for Canada by the way) and they run between $45-$60. You can also buy them at most large airports in gadget stores like the Palm store and Brookstone.
