I have a VIP622 DISH network HDTV DVR receiver, can I hook up Direct TV service to it?

I really like the functionality and the storage of the receiver, but I like Direct TV's programming better. I was wondering if it would be possible to have the best of both worlds.

No. Only DirecTV equipment for DirecTV service. Dish Network and DirecTV use similar technology (Ku Band) but that about covers it. Different satellites, different coding, different security.
