clean it wit a rag (cotton) soak it in acetone and wipe the yellow.

NOTE. I said wipe ,not rub

wipe :  You pass it from one end to the other.(one shot)

rub   : back and forward.

Get a new light cover.

This happens to some plastics when they are exposed to sunlight and other elements.

Usually, the bluer the lites, the more current is going thru: the less current, the yellower. I would check the alternator. Over 13.5 volts is good.
